Department purpose
The team implements the firm’s HR strategy and provides a first-class service to the business for all strategic and operational HR aspects, advises and is very close to its members. The team provides quality support services in the full range of HR functions such as recruitment, induction, learning and development, career progression, advice on collaboration, employee relations, reward, benefits, HR administration and payroll.
Role purpose
Our HR team is seeking an HR Business Partner (15-month fixed-term contract) starting in December 2025 to cover a maternity leave. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for partners and lawyers, providing strategic HR support and guidance. Working closely with the HR Director and local leadership, you will play a key role in implementing our HR strategy and driving impactful initiatives through the management of targeted projects.
Role and responsibilities
Being a privileged contact person for our lawyers, from recruitment to handling employee relations issues and advising partners,
Being the initial point of contact for lawyers queries : advising on all HR matters
Providing support and advice to partners for performance management issues or any other HR related matters; influence the recognition and reward in their teams
Managing the entire recruitment process as an expert in this role
Being a strategic resource and being able to coordinate and implement specific HR projects independently
Playing the role of a facilitator in case of conflict
Advising lawyers on career path, career development and participate to talent discussions with team leaders
Coordinating and implementing HR policies and processes
Key requirements
You have at least five years of experience in Human Resources, including a first role as an HR Business Partner—ideally within a law firm environment
You have at least a master’s degree in human resources or related field
You are fluent in both written and spoken English and French
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required
You are assertive and resistant to work in a challenging international environment
You are a team player
